Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)

The RN to BSN program is designed to provide a comprehensive approach to advanced concepts analysis of the nursing profession. The program provides students with an opportunity to complete coursework in areas that are emerging as necessities for advanced nursing credentials. These areas include informatics, nursing education, research, and business concepts. This program takes an interdisciplinary approach to these paradigms in order to tie together an advanced undergraduate degree that will prepare the professional nurse for opportunities in career fields in nursing. Graduates from this program will have the appropriate academic preparation to work in nursing education programs, departmental management, case management, research and other areas of healthcare where nurses have become a critical component of care and/or operation.

Applicants must have an active, verifiable Florida RN license.

Admission Requirements

In order to be eligible for registration, students must be at least 18 years old and possess all of the following:

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License or Valid Florida State ID
  • Associates of Science in Nursing Degree from an accredited institution (72 Credits or more).
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license. The license must be active, verifiable, non-delinquent, and free of disciplinary action.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 calculated over all college coursework (cumulative GPA as calculated by the receiving institution)
  • All Official Post-Secondary Transcripts: courses itemized in transcript must evidence a minimum grade of C or greater to transfer credits into the RN to BSN program

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

All students must accomplish the following in order to be considered for graduation:

  • All Program Courses must be passed with a minimum 75% grade per course.
  • Achieve a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Maintain an overall average of a 75%.
