ACLS is an advanced, course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
ACLS INITIAL COURSE OVERVIEW
The ACLS course requires approximately 10-12 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing. ACLS is comprised of training that focuses on information for healthcare professionals who initiate and direct advanced life support in critically ill adult patients. This course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. The course also covers airway management and related pharmacology. Through simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations is where students practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader.
CPR/WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Advanced Cardiac Life Support is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

Must have a current CPR card.

ACLS RENEWAL/UPDATE COURSE OVERVIEW
The ACLS recertification course requires approximately 5-6 hours, including skills practice and skills testing. ACLS recertification is a refresher for healthcare professionals who initiate and direct advanced life support in critically ill adult patients. This course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. The course also covers airway management and related pharmacology. Through simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations is where students practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is for healthcare professionals who have a current card and need to re-certify this certificate before the expiration date.

ACLS SKILLS SESSION COURSE OVERVIEW
Once completed with your online learning, you will need to schedule a day with the Training Center to have an instructor evaluate your skills. The skill course includes simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader. Upon completion of your skills you will receive a ACLS Provider card.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Advanced Cardiac Life Support skill session is for healthcare professionals who have completed the online portion of ACLS Heartcode and need to complete course competences for completion card.
