CPR/BLS RENEWAL COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Recertification Classroom Course is approximately 4 hours, including skills practice and skills testing. The BLS course has been proven to be the key to resuscitation, per 2010 guidelines. The course is video-enhanced and designed to provide rescuers a refresher to recognize and initiate management for several life-threatening emergencies, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is for healthcare professionals who have a current card and need to recertify this certificate before the expiration date.

PREREQUISITES

The adult learner is required to conduct a self-assessment. The following are the requirements for entry into the course:

  • You have had a previous professional CPR class for healthcare providers.
  • You are proficient in the basic techniques and progression of the CPR sequence for adults, children, and infants.
  • You are proficient in the relief of choking for adults, children, and infants and the proper use of an AED.
  • Healthcare providers who do not meet the prerequisites should enroll in the 4-hour BLS for Health Care Provider Initial Provider Class.

COURSE COST

The course fee is $60 and this does not includes the BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual.

Please remember that shipping and handling is not included in this price.

We recommend all students receive the course manual prior to the course.
